Elastic Gasket 2.0 System Requirements

Note:
Elastic Gasket does not adapt plug-ins bundled with After Effects — they are incompatible with Adobe’s published third-party plug-in specification.

Elastic Gasket 2.0 requires an Avid® editing system that supports AVX™ 1.5 or later, and RT (Green Dot) mode support:

Windows:

Avid Media Composer Adrenaline™ 1.0 or later
Avid Xpress® Pro 4.0 or later

RT mode support: RT (Green Dot) mode support is enabled only in Elastic Gasket 2.0 on Xpress Pro 4.0 or later and Media Composer Adrenaline 1.0 or later. This support means that Elastic Gasket-enabled plug-ins support Avid’s YUV color space, allowing for overall better performance and interactivity than in Blue Dot mode. Note that if you are using processor-intensive After Effects plug-ins, Best mode, or uncompressed media, playback will not necessarily be real-time.

Note: Check your Avid editing system’s requirements for specific Windows operating system compatibility.

Upgrading to v2.0: Version 2.0 is a paid upgrade and requires a new license key. You can upgrade to v2.0 from our online store.

Elastic Gasket 1.x System Requirements

Note:
If you are using Avid Xpress DV 3.5 or another Carbonized host application on the Mac OS X operating system, you must use Carbonized or Mac OS X-compatible versions of the After Effects plug-ins. Your Classic (non-Carbonized) plug-ins will not work with Elastic Gasket on the Mac OS operating system. Check with each vendor for their plug-ins’ Mac OS X-compatibility.

Elastic Gasket 1.x requires an Avid® editing system that supports AVX™ 1.5 or later:

Note: Check your Avid editing system’s requirements for specific Windows or Mac OS operating system compatibility. Elastic Gasket for Avid|DS is no longer available. Official support for existing Elastic Gasket for Avid|DS and Avid DS Nitris users ended October 31, 2004.

Supported Adobe® After Effects® Plug-ins

The following After Effects plug-ins (listed by vendor name) are known to work with Elastic Gasket v2.0, unless otherwise noted. The majority of testing was performed on Xpress DV 4.5.1, Xpress Pro 4.1.1/4.6/5.0/5.1 HD, and Adrenaline 2.0.2/2.1 HD for Windows. Plug-ins or suites not listed have not been tested, but might work.

IMPORTANT: Extensive testing of every single parameter of every single plug-in (or plug-in in a plug-in suite) has not been performed on every Avid system and operating system combination.

To ensure that a specific version of and feature of an After Effects plug-in works on your specific Avid system and operating system version, be sure to test compatibility with the demo version of the plug-in (if available) before purchasing or upgrading the plug-in.

Note: After Effects plug-ins that are intended to deal with time (speed up or slow down the video, use or refer to alternate frames in the sequence, etc.) are not formally supported by Elastic Gasket, and will either not work with it or not work as expected.
