Swim — bring your pixels by for a dip! Available for Adobe® After Effects® (and plug-in compatible) software and Avid® AVX™ editing systems.

Profound Effects Swim™ is a distortion / refraction style effect. Use it as an effect itself or as a transition that gets your pixels really moving. Unlike refracting through a noise or turbulence field, Swim effects are readily recognized as being through a fluid-like medium with complex rippling patterns.

Swim produces smooth animation throughout the effect. It knows how to return pixels to exactly where they started from without retracing its steps (which would cause an obvious and uninteresting “loop”).
