Is there a demo version of Swim?

Yes. You can request a demo version from the Demo Software Request page.

Follow the installation instructions in the Documentation.

When I start After Effects, it detects multiple copies of the “PE Swim” plug-in. Why?

You probably have the demo/evaluation version of the PE Swim plug-in installed in the After Effects Plug-ins folder, and the full version of Swim installed in the usual Profound Effects subfolder of the Plug-ins folder. Just exit After Effects, delete the demo version that is not in the Profound Effects subfolder, and then restart After Effects.

There is another effect applied before the Swim effect, but Swim is affecting only the original layer.

The Swim plug-in has access only to the original layer. If you want to apply the Swim effect onto a layer with other effects already on it, place the layer into a pre-comp, and apply Swim to it.
